.
It is called XFM Radio and is based in London and Manchester.
In my opinion the website shows that it is a very "indie" radio station beacuse of what is said and shown. Particularly the images of the artists singing and the small section which shows an image of itunes. This is a commonly used programme today to promote smaller bands as well as successful artists and is a major way in which the audience can access the music via the internet. It is seen that in most newly formed bands and artists there is a young audience. This could be because that music has become to widely accessable across the internet via websites such as facebook and myspace which are very popular with teenagers and young adults although this is not to say that it is not used by an older audience.
As well as UK radio stations that focus on playing indie music, there are so many in other countries:
- Indie 103.1 (Los Angeles)
- Soma FM (Independent Online Radio Station)
